DIGITAL MULTIMETERS
Platform Modules
Platform modules and controllers integrate with modular hardware platforms that allow you to combine different types of modules in a custom system that leverages shared platform features.
NI offers three hardware platforms—CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, and PXI—though all platforms may not be represented in this category.
PXI Digital Multimeter
PXI Digital Multimeter
PXI Digital Multimeters, or DMMs, feature AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, 2- or 4-wire resistance, and frequency/period measurements, as well as diode tests. You can also choose a PXI DMM with an isolated, high-voltage digitizer that can acquire waveforms at sample rates up to 1.8 MS/s at full input range, up to 3 A or 1,000 V. Additionally, you can choose a PXI DMM that can perform basic inductance and capacitance measurements.

PXI Controller
PXI Controllers come with standard features such as an integrated CPU, hard drive, RAM, Ethernet, video, keyboard/mouse, serial, USB, and other peripheral I/O. They provide up to 8 GB/s system throughput and 2 GB/s slot throughput.
Support for the LabVIEW Real-Time (Phar Lap) Controller OS will be removed in the May 2022 release of NI software. Learn more about the timelines for hardware support migration.

DIGITAL MULTIMETERS
Stand Alone or Computer Based Devices
Stand-alone or computer-based devices either integrate with standard desktop and laptop computers or allow you to use them without the need for other modular hardware.
Digital Multimeter Device
Digital Multimeter Device
Digital Multimeter Devices, or DMMs, feature AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, 2- or 4-wire resistance, and frequency/period measurements, as well as diode tests. You can sample up to 3,000 S/s, as well as acquire voltages up to ±300 V and current up to ±3 A.
