Platform Modules
Platform modules integrate with modular hardware platforms that allow you to combine different types of modules in a custom system that leverages shared platform features.
NI offers three hardware platforms—CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, and PXI—though all platforms may not be represented in this category.
C Series Digital Module
C Series Digital Module
The C Series Digital Module interacts with a range of industrial switches, transducers, and devices. Some modules include an LED per channel that indicates the state of the channel. It supports input, output, or a combination of digital lines, and they can interact with a variety of voltages and logic levels, so they are well-suited for a variety of benchtop and industrial environments.

C Series Relay Output Module
C Series Relay Output Module
The C Series Relay Output Module enables you to switch up to eight signals at 60 V maximum DC switching voltage and up to 250 V of maximum AC switching current. For quick reference, every channel features an LED to indicate the state of that channel. The C Series Relay Output Module allows for direct connection to a wide array of industrial devices such as motors, actuators, and DC devices.

Stand Alone or Computer Based Devices
Stand-alone or computer-based devices either integrate with standard desktop and laptop computers or allow you to use them without the need for other modular hardware.
Digital I/O Device
Digital I/O Device
The Digital I/O Device supports channel, current, and voltage options to help you automate applications. This module features programmable input filters to remove chatter, noise, glitches, and spikes on inputs, and these filters also provide debouncing for digital switches and relays. You can use the module to perform safe operation when connected to pumps, motors, and other industrial actuators or machinery using the included power-up states. The module also provides a fail-safe mechanism that monitors for computer or application crashes and place the system in a state to ensure safe recovery.

I²C/SPI Interface Device
I²C/SPI Interface Device
The I²C/SPI Interface Device is a master or slave interface for inter-integrated circuit (I²C), or master interface for serial parallel interface (SPI) devices. With plug-and-play USB connectivity, the I²C/SPI Interface Device is a portable solution to communicate with consumer electronics and integrated circuits. The I²C/SPI Interface Device can be physically located more closely to I²C/SPI devices than PCI interfaces, reducing I²C bus length and minimizing noise problems.
