AXTAL’s core business comprises advanced Frequency Control Products (FCP), mainly Crystal and SAW Oscillators, as well as Frequency & Time Modules.

Main product focus is on high-reliability Oscillators and Frequency Control Modules with high requirements for environmental conditions, ultra-low noise performance and very high stability for applications like Radar, Military, Aerospace and Space. All products are ITAR free.

It includes the full value chain from R&D, Design, Production, Scanning and Testing from samples to production quantities completely in-house.

The extended product portfolio includes Quartz Crystals, Crystal Filters, Atomic Frequency Standards (Miniature CPT Clocks, Rubidium and Cesium Clocks), Piezoelectric Crystal Materials and Piezo Sensors.

New Space TCXOs & OCXOs

A broad range of crystal oscillators is specifically designed to meet the performance and reliability requirements for the latest, most demanding “New Space” satellite applications at significantly lower cost than “Classical Space” (Class 1) products. The AXLE7050S series TCXOs in a tiny 7×5 mm² package are available in the frequency range from 10 MHz to 50 MHz and offer a stability of ±1 ppm. The OCXOs of our AXIOM75SL and AXIOM75SH series in a compact 25x25x13 mm³ housing can reach a stability of ±10 to ±50 ppb in the frequency range from 10 MHz to 120 MHz.

PLL-OCXOs for Clean-up and Frequency Synthesis

The Clean-up PLL modules AXPLO10 (10 MHz) and AXPLO100 (100 MHz) incorporate Ultra-Low Noise (ULN) OCXOs and derive their output signals with superior noise performance from a noisy 10 MHz input reference in a small 54x40x19 mm³ housing. For multiple phase coherent output signals at higher frequencies up to 7 GHz, the AXPLO2700 series in a 70x70x30 mm³ housing incorporates Ultra-Low Noise OCXOs with a wide input reference frequency range. This series can be fully customized to meet specific requirements.

Vibration Insensitive OCXOs

For operation under ruggedized conditions, the vibration isolated OCXO AXIOM210 (50x50x30 mm³, g-sensitivity 0.001 ppb/g @ 1 kHz) offers lowest phase noise during vibration. Models in smaller packages, such as the AXIOM275 (25x25x15 mm³, g-sensitivity 0.01 ppb/g @ 1 kHz) and the AXIOM238 (38x38x20 mm³, g-sensitivity 0.005 ppb/g @ 1 kHz), are available for less stringent demands for vibration isolation.

Very high mechanical shock resistance combined with a low g-sensitivity of 0.25 ppb/g @ 1 kHz offers the vibration-insensitive OCXO AXIOM75LG (25x25x13 mm³).
